Kaiser Permanente was at the Health Faire in Galt, CA. to promote the Thrive campaign.

Kaiser Permanente was one of our major sponsors with a grant of $900.  Here we have Galt residents Ellen Fox and Kathy Frodahl handing out bags and more. 

The Galt City Council has appointed 5 volunteers to serve on the Youth Committee.  New students were being sought at the Health Faire in Galt, CA.

Doug Brown and Joanne Forbing represented the Galt City Council Youth Committee and the Galt High School Health Academy, organized this event.

Patricia St. James, Sharon Giles (Grant writer) and Daniel Martinez (12) were explaining the wonderful REACH Grant funded by  Sierra Health.

Galt High School has a wonderful program in health education.  The students were the ones doing all of the work at the Health Faire in Galt, CA.

HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) member Genna Hoeven (16) sold healthy goodies.

Jim Spaans was very generous in providing cases of sugar free cookies to samples at the Health Faire in Galt, CA.

Spann's Cookie Company's sugar free cookies were available in many flavors and handed out by Jeff Capozzi (17) and Christine Hernandez (15) of Galt High School.  They gave out a lot of delicious samples.  Thanks to Jim Spanns for his kind donation.

L'Chayim staffs a walk-in office on Lincoln Way for women.  They are fairly new in Galt and offered information about their services at the Health Faire in Galt, CA.

Save Mart in Galt is always a great supporter of community events.  Three of their most charming employees staffed a booth at the Health Faire in Galt, CA.

Smarty has captured Stevie Sacco from our Save Mart.  Many thinks to store manager Joe Ribero for his support.

The Lions Club in Galt is very active in both local and international public service.  Ruben was having fun being the representative at the Health Faire in Galt, CA.

El Rodeo, one of Galt's Mexican restaurants, offered great food for the hungry at the Health Faire in Galt, CA.  Maria Duenas and granddaughter Alehandra are offering fresh fruit slices at the Health Faire in Galt, CA.

El Rodeo served a lot of food to workers and observers.  The owner, Jorge Duenas, is always willing to help serve the Galt community.  In the right photo is grandmother Maria Duenas and Alejandra Duenas (12) with those beautiful blue eyes.  The $3 fresh fruit cups were wonderfully delicious and enjoyed by many.

Yogurt Sundae, a local store, offered delicious free samples of surgar free yogurt at the Health Faire in Galt, CA.

Jorge Duenas Jr. (red shirt) is sampling sugar free yogurt from Yogurt Sundae.  Rori and Darrell Ragland were handing out samples to everyone.  They also supplied gift certificates for the kid games programs.  Enjoy the fine yogurt at 1067 C Street in downtown Galt.  209-745-6464.

La Raza is a Galt High School club for Latino students.  They are raising funds at the Health Faire in Galt, CA.  They are well known for having a great dance group with colorful costumes.

The Friday Night Live Club was enthusiastically manned by l. to r.  Annalisa Purnell (16), Michelle Madrigal (16), Jennifer Holcomb (16), Brittany Neely (17) and Gerardo Madrigal (14).

One of Galt's premier gyms  is Better Bodys.  They helped pay for the student and staff T-shirts at the Health Faire in Galt, CA

Better Bodys Kenpo Karate group of Daniel Toscano, David Davidson, Stan Toscano and Barbara Toscano.  Stan is the Sensei (teacher) and has his black belt.  To the right is Kristin Beshara co-owner and her brother Steve Ryckman manager.  Better Bodys helped sponsor the event and helped pay for the T-shirts.
