warm and windy. This made it very hard to keep signs taped up and in
place.

represent the Cosumnes CSD Fire Department. They gave away a lot of gold
badges to junior fire fighters.

Kaiser Permanente was one of our major sponsors with a grant
of $900. Here we have Galt residents Ellen Fox and Kathy Frodahl handing
out bags and more.

Doug Brown and Joanne Forbing represented the Galt City
Council Youth Committee and the Galt High School Health Academy,
organized this event.

Barbara Payne, Galt City Council Woman, is explaining the
Safe
Routes to School program that she has helped organized.

The Sacramento-Yolo County Mosquito & Vector Control District
program is being shown by Kailee Crosson (8), Emnily McPherson (14) and Braden
Crossen (4) of Galt. The person with his head cut off is Bob (always gets
the girl) Biederman. Sorry Bob, but my attention was on the youth.

Patricia St. James, Sharon Giles (Grant writer) and Daniel
Martinez (12) were explaining the wonderful
REACH Grant funded by Sierra Health.

Human Assistance employees Oswaldo Diaz and Fatima Ruggiero
explain the services available to Galt residents.

HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) member Genna
Hoeven (16) sold healthy goodies.

Spann's Cookie
Company's sugar free cookies were available in many flavors and
handed out by Jeff Capozzi (17) and Christine Hernandez (15) of Galt High
School. They gave out a lot of delicious samples. Thanks to Jim
Spanns for his kind donation.

Evelyn Moore of the Beautification Committee was telling Galt
residents how to help keep Galt clean. She was helped by 12 year old
Ashley Thompson.

Teresa Biby represents the
Dairy Council of California by
handing out pens and first aid kits.

Cover the Kids
program was represented by Martha Hernandez and Mai Moua.

Bonnie Davey from South County Services (formerly Galt Concillio) was on hand to
explain the various services available.

Horizon Community Church members Paula Leary and Janette Glissman tell about
the various community programs from this very active church.

L'Chayim
is a women's resource center in Galt on Lincoln Way. Peggy Fisher explains
the out-reach programs.

Chateau Turner of State Farm in Galt at 1000 C Street is trying to sell
insurance to Randy of Fitness Pro.

Alicia Kafka (16) is representing
Fitness Pro at 1067 C Street in Galt. Yes, a member of that Kafka
family.

Smarty has captured Stevie Sacco from our
Save Mart. Many thinks to store
manager Joe Ribero for his support.

Lion's Club offering his usual gnostically innervating eclectic erudition.

El Rodeo served
a lot of food to workers and observers. The owner, Jorge Duenas, is always
willing to help serve the Galt community. In the right photo is
grandmother Maria Duenas and Alejandra Duenas (12) with those beautiful blue
eyes. The $3 fresh fruit cups were wonderfully delicious and enjoyed by
many.

Galt High School has a Color Guard club.

Jorge Duenas Jr. (red shirt) is sampling sugar free yogurt
from Yogurt Sundae. Rori and Darrell Ragland were handing out samples to
everyone. They also supplied gift certificates for the kid games

Better Bodys Kenpo Karate group of Daniel Toscano, David Davidson, Stan
Toscano and Barbara Toscano. Stan is the Sensei (teacher) and has his
black belt. To the right is Kristin Beshara co-owner and her brother Steve
Ryckman manager. Better Bodys helped sponsor the event and helped pay for
the T-shirts.
