Galt Grange Breakfast

By Duane Ausherman

Christa is three and enjoys the eggs and sausage at the Galt Grange breakfast.

Three year old Christa Chapman is grown up enough to have her very own plate.  Christa seems to really like the eggs and sausage the best.  That is Chris, her father, watching this young lady perform for us.

The Valley Oaks Grange, post 368 in Galt sponsors a breakfast on the first Sunday at 7 AM to 11 AM.  The menu included juice, coffee, pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage for $4.  How can one beat that?  This is the place to meet many old friends and make some new ones.  It is "walk-in" and no reservations are needed.  The National Grange supports a wide variety of charities and is quite active.

Mary Chapman and Sue Roberts share the cooking duties at the Galt Grange breakfast.

Mary Chapman and Sue Roberts are two of the cooks at this well known local breakfast at the Grange Hall.

The Galt Grange breakfast is well attended.

It was fun sitting and talking with old and new friends.  With the informal walk-in format, one can linger and really enjoy a peaceful morning.

This is the Grange Hall, just one block south of Spaans Cookies.

The Valley Oaks Grange is at 5th and D streets, just one block south of Spaans Cookie store.  Now you know where it is, so no more excuses, show up and tell a few.
