Boys and Girls Club fund raiser
The Littleton Center was full of great people, kids and crabs. It was
the "who's who" of Galt with many celebrities (questionable
characters) in evidence. The purpose was to raise funds to build the new
facility to replace the one that had to be torn down. The best
description I can give is that the Littleton Center was "full of smiles" all
evening. See how many of these smiley people that you know.

A typical family of smiles, (l. to r.) Melissa, Brittney (6) and
Loren Thompson. Brittney was just about everywhere, making friends and running
around with her (see below) Rock Star friend Sydni.

The line waiting to get in ran out the door and onto the
sidewalk. In the
foreground is Linda Ausherman, of Ausherman Interiors.

As soon as people got past the ticket takers, they lined up at
the drink window, a very popular venue.

It sort of looks like the bartenders have been "at it" for
awhile. (l. to r.) Charlene Johnson, Mike Alstrum and Jim Benner helped
out with liquid smiles.

A whole table full of dozens of raffle prized donated by local
businesses.

Al and Judy Baldwin seem to attend just about everything.
Al is well known all over town.......... for his button making. He denied
the rumor that he will soon seek office. mmm OK

On the left is Santa Claus (AKA Herb Houston)
Magic Touch
Embroidery and Al Luna of AG Luna Heating and Air.

Best known for making
cookies is Jim Spaans and his wife Sharon. Is there any truth to the
rumor that Jim is starting up "Air Galt" a local shuttle airline? He
wouldn't say a thing on the subject.

Just another "politician" attending another event. This is
Barbara Payne and her husband Mike behind her. She is a city council
person in Galt. Barbara holds court in her "Olde Towne Gift Shoppe"
at 401 C street. I don't want to embarrass her, but she needs to learn to
spel.

Larry and Deanna Brand, one of them is the pastor of River of
Life Church in Galt. I know who the boss is.

The Brands above were "conspiring" with Steve and Cassie Vera of
West Coast Prosthetics. These 4 were in a really "good mood" too.

The Nail Lady (AKA Diana's Place 745-4895) and James Guthmiller
of CJ Auto Repair. I caught James trying to get a word in edgewise.
I didn't stay long enough to find out if he was successful.

Our highly respected
Mayor of Galt, Darryl
Clare and his wife Barbara, CEO of the
Galt Chamber of Commerce.
He has no connection to Washington's Abramoff scandal, nor did he get any
campaign contribution from him. I am sure that this is accurate
information.

(l. to r.) Rock Star Sydni (7) and Brittney (6) were the
charmers of the evening. I think that they have adopted each other and
become sisters.

(l. to r.) Debbie Razwick (AKA big boss), Debbie Semone is a
member of the board of directors for the Boy's and Girl's Club, and the Nail
Lady, Diana.

Tom Malson, City of Galt councilperson being questioned by
voters. To the question about campaign contributions, it is reported that
he said "I will get back to you."

Kathy Schau, 745-3311 More info???

Doug and ?? Norris have recently moved here from Oregon.
Doug is the manager of Les Schwab, our
newest tire shop in Galt.

John and June Henke. They own the Estralita Ballroom in
old town Galt.

This motley crew is from
Carson's Coatings 550 Industrial Dr. in Galt. They were
major donors and workers for this event.
(l. to r.) Wes Conner, Fred Nelson, Jordan Nunez (front), Dennis Chevrier, Loren
Thompson, Jaime Nunez, Julie Nunez, Kit Carson (12), Terry Carson, Heather
Gitthens, Leland Gitthens (3). A very big thank you. Any spelling
errors?

Scott Lethbridge, is a former cop and they have him handling the
money??? I watched and he didn't take a single dollar.

A very happy Bert Potthoff with his Sees candy win. I sort
of hung around hoping that a box would get opened up. Nada.

Teresa Perez just won this gift basket from "Galt Illusions"

Lisa Chevrier, winner of
Fitness Pro gift basket, Better
Bodies,
Galt Frostie and Robinson's Taekwondo.

Chuck Batchelor is one happy guy to win the DVD home center.

This gift basket was donated by Casa de Fruita and Robinson's
Taekwondo and won by Kathleen Amos.

Winona Casity is the lucky winner of this gift basket donated
by Farmers Insurance and Robinson's Taekwondo.

Janice Van Hooser takes this gift basket home. It was
donated by "It's a grind" and Carson's Coatings.

I caught Mattie Shepherd with her hands full of crab. She
is/was the queen/emperor/president of just about everything in Galt. She
is very involved in the Concillio as the president. Seems that someone
has an eye on her crabmeat.

Better to not even speculate on what is going to happen to
innocent tax payers when Al Baldwin and Boyce Jeffries get together.

Here we have Mary Lou Powers, Barbara Payne and Skooky Kelley
looking "too happy" for who knows what reason.

"I never win anything" is what I got from Joanne Nelson, the
winner of the main door prize, a TV set donated by Carson's Coatings.
High tech comes to Galt
Some of these workers had been here since the morning time.
They served food, ran errands and just took care of everybody. I watched
carefully and had a hard time seeing that they are actually robots.
Movement, speech and understanding is superb. The give-away is that humans
never work this hard, so they have to be robots. The kitchen was also full
of these new model robots, but I wasn't allowed access, so no pictures. I
was very impressed. Where can we get one or two?

They respond to names, such as Rachael, Evan and Steven.

This hard working robot answers to Rebecca.

This one is all too human and can't be a robot. When I
asked, "What is your job?" She answered, "I don't know what I am doing."
That is just too humble to be a robot. Turns out that this is Beth Fisher.
She is standing in for her aunt, Shelly McClure, of Magnum Karaoke, at 748-2020.
Beth supplied the music and so that makes her the DJ.
