Jesse Brucker fundraiser by the Galt VFW
By Duane Ausherman

The cooks and servers are always the
most important folks at any event that includes food. l. to r.
Serena Meredith is multi-tasking (she also has a bun in the oven), Grade Malson
(server), Tom Brucker (father of Jesse) and Andrew Meredith (Post Commander)

Also very important at any fundraiser is the person collecting
the money. This is Jesse's mother, Candy Brucker.

Many are busy eating the great breakfast and exchanging
stories. On the right you can see Grace taking photos. Her husband,
Tom, is at the head of the table holding court. I wasn't able to figure
out his assigned task, but I am sure that he is very good at it.

This collage shows some photos of Jesse and his troop.
Starting on top, upper left
Sgt. Jesse Brucker in a cave in the mountains of Eastern Afghanistan where
they found a huge cache of weapons, ammo, dynamite, IED making stuff,
explosives, etc., and timing devices to set them up. Biggest cache ever found in
the mountains
Middle top is some kind of thing Jesse wears on his wrist, I think, to show
their location and how high up they are. This was taken 7,125 feet up the
mountain. They climbed up that high and higher with packs on their backs and
carrying weapons.
Top right is a view of the mountains as they were climbing
Middle row - three guys in the platoon sitting outside the cave showing some
of the explosives they found
Middle right side picture is looking down on the Pech River in the Hindu Kush
Mts. that they are in (2nd highest mountain range in the world)
Lower left is four more guys in their platoon holding their various weapons
Middle lower pic is of Jesse and some of his guys getting ready to take off
in a helicopter
Lower right hand side is of Sgt. Jesse Brucker talking on his radio by his
hummer down below the mountain
Middle far right is one Mc Elroy showing off his big rifle and ammo
| The Brucker family
collected $381.00 to help assemble care packages for their son and
his unit. We sold over 80 breakfasts. Thank you to all who
attended. Andrew Meredith, Commander |
