The demand for face painting was so great that two painters
were kept very busy. This is Kyle (4) and he was painted by Patricia Records.

Parks and Recreation were well represented by Carina and
Janette.

The two tough crime fighters are Tonya Duffy and Valerie
Templeton. We can sleep easier with these two "bulldogs" protecting Galt.

I Love Galt T-shirts were given out and many put them on for
the event. Jackie and Breana (13) modeled for me just after picking up their
shirts.

Galt has a beautification Committee and Marylou Powers and
Skooky Kelley have already made it more beautiful.

Laurel Vermelfoort and Reuven Epstein well represented our
local Lions Club.

Noah (3) is enjoying the water slide.

Ryan (9) is trying his luck with T ball. The ball is suspended
on a column of air and is bouncing around a bit. It is not easy to hit it.

Basketball was very popular.

The Bounce house was so popular that two of them were kept
very busy all evening long.

Our wonderful CAPS volunteers. Hugh Smith, Jim Connick
(policeman), Elvis Miller and Jack Gardelius are taking fingerprints.

The musical chair competition has narrowed down to Marina (8)
and Vanessa (10) in the shadow. Marina won this one.

An important aspect of the I Love Galt is the Galt Youth
Committee. They signed up student volunteers for various activities.

The live music was provided by Vibrocounts of Sacramento.

custom tied balloon. Go online to sacramentomagic.com

A crime caught on film. These two young men attacked the women
in front of everyone. They "claim" to be a demonstration by Robinson Tae Kwon Do
(a martial art from Korea) of Galt.

Typical troublemakers? Sydney Bajurin (11), Katie West (11)
and Kailey Salton (9) admitted to being troublemakers. One mother told me, "They
are so cute that they get away with it." And I have to agree. These three were
typical of the few hundred great young people that enjoyed the evening in the
park. |
