Canyon Creek Park offered something for everyone.

Katie Gilstrap, Assistant Market Operation Supervisor, handed
out free Parks and Recreation balloons.

Boy Scout Troop 119 demonstrated building an archway with tree
branches and ropes. It was a good opportunity for them to practice knot
tying for the upcoming "Camp-O-Ree" at Pollock. Their archway will be
reconstructed at the Camp-O-Ree entrance. Ben Watson (Leader) and son Evan
Watson (Troop Guide) help Oscar and Ross Daly, and Joey Barclay with the
construction. For more Boy Scout of America information visit

Laura Baker describes to Peggy Milano the services of the
non-profit, Boys & Girls Club of Galt. Their building was demolished due
to mold, so the Club is temporarily meeting at the Fairsite School Cafeteria.
They are recruiting members for $25.00 per year, and conducting fund raisers to
raise money to build a building at the new site on D Street.
