Emerald Vista sub-division was the first on the "east side" of Galt. It
was done by Mike Guttridge, a well respected local developer. The term
"Emerald" has become his trademark. The park was a fortunate requirement
of the permit process. Local residents have a very nice park to enjoy.

Micah (9) was the winner of the first race. The closest
boy (name unknown, please let me know it) can be seen in the air on one of his
many big jumps. The kids had so much fun in this sack race business.
The ones I asked had never done this before. This is really "small town
America" and enjoyed by so many.

The "bounce house" is a regular at the park parties and always
popular.

Brooke is only 6 and is happy to show that she can "hang."

Joe is only 6 and won a cake. I asked him about his win
and he said, "I think its pretty cool." I asked if he could win again and
his response was, "I think I can if I want to." He turned down an offer
from me to help him cut the cake. Smart kid for only 6.

Victoria (13) and Karen (13) agreed to pose for me at the Galt
Fire Department's truck. They are so reliable in having a truck at each
event, thanks.

Barry volunteered once to be the grill cook. Now he is
stuck with the job, thanks. Handing out hot dogs will make anyone popular.

Hannah (2) is so proud to be able to hang by herself for the
picture. I think that mom is too.

This event was the first time that 4 year old Henry got to
play with a Frisbee.

Jessie (8) has her favorite playground slide. She makes
a great pose for the photo. A future?

Kathia (3) was easily convinced to show me that she can swing.

Madison (8 1/2) is showing me the rolling slide rail.

Another view of the Emerald Vista Park party where many
families came to eat and play.
The I Love Galt group, headed by Barbara Payne, organizes these
park parties throughout the year. See the calendar. Don Haines is
