These projects are performed by community service workers, business owners, and
Galt residents.
The family of Adila Dunkle is pictured beside a rosebush planted in her memory
at the Galt Post Office, ( L-R front) grandchildren Jacob, Luke, Lexi with
father Rene Ledeza and mother Paula Garcia. The Beautification Committee, as a
yearly project, provides an opportunity for the community to become involved
with dedicating a rosebush in memory of a loved one. Committee members Skooky
Kelley, Evelyn Moore and Postmaster Beverly Leymaster were present for the

Here is a young fellow " Diego" who is helping the Beautification Committee
plant ground covering on Lincoln Way located in front of L' Chayim the Women's
Drop in Center. The plant is an ice plant with beautiful pink flowers. This
plant requires little to no maintenance.
Here is Stacy, a young volunteer doing her part to make Galt more beautiful by
working with Beautification Committee member Evelyn. Stacy also works, but has
found time for community service. She is an example of the youth in Galt, making
a difference. Thank You Stacy!
The Beautification Bed of Roses program offers individuals the opportunity to
purchase a rose from the committee and have it planted in your choice of several
prominent locations in the city in honor or memory of a loved one or friend.

The Beautification Committee would like to thank Steven Ryckman for his help in
getting rid of the clutter that was a problem in the area of the business Better
Body's Health Club . Steve is the General Manager. Pictured are the beautiful
flower pots that he planted at the entry way. Thanks Steve for making a
