The Oktoberfest featured this nice display by the Galt Beautification Committee.  l. to r. are Cindy Harrison, Skooky Kelley and Kristin McDonnell.  This is the west entrance to the Estralita Ballroom.  Shown behind the display is the new mural of the history of Galt.

Memorial Roses for Herman and Rose LaVine

The Galt Beautification Committee planted "Herman and Delores" roses in honor of Herman and Delores LaVine.  Herman, an avid rose gardener, made a hybrid of his Herman rose to create the Delores rose in honor of his beloved wife.  Jason LaVine helped in planting the roses in the Welcome to Galt triangle on C street.  Herman was instrumental in creating the divider that serves as the "Welcome to Galt."  The committee thought it would be the perfect place to plant roses in honor of the LaVines.  June 21, 2006
