This page is to show what is available for Galt area residents and students to
serve the community. Many of these jobs are promoted by the Galt City
Council Youth Committee. The jobs may vary from a couple of hours handing
out leaflets to full project managers. Both students and adults are
encouraged to volunteer. If you have a special interest, let us know and
we may know who can work with you to implement your ideas.
Students will receive community service credit in the form of a thank you letter
stating your job and hours. Generally, a reporter will document your work
project and it will appear on some local website. Most of the time it is
this website. See the dozens of reports of public events that have been
covered and appear here. All of these students will show up well in a
Google search. That helps build a Google resume for scholarships and
admission to the "better" colleges.
